Grounding

Grounding- before, after and during “storms”, is a great practice.

I am re-sharing a post from about this time last year as I feel it a great comfort with such a nervous system shake up from hurricane Larry this past weekend.

A hurricane and a global pandemic make for a great reason to ground, especially if you’ve never before!!

Whatever the movement and uncertainty maybe around you, grounding is a KEY element in soothing, calming and restoring the body, mind and soul.

If you do, it’s you listening to your body’s intelligence trying to communicate that you need connection to the earth to unload and “ground”. Bare feet inside or outside is great however, outside feeling the coolness, the solidity of the earth/grass is delightful and medicinal!! 👣

Grounding is feeling the earth without obstacles! It’s refreshing, revitalizing and soothing to name a few benefits. Think back to when you were a child, you may have done grounding instinctively and never noticed it until now!

Free radicals are generated through inflammation, infection, cell damage, trauma, stress, process foods, limited time in nature (concrete buildings) and our toxic environments. …Emotional, physical and mental stress can be lowered with just a few moments of grounding.
