What is Yin Yoga?
Long-held stretches on the floor for a mild to moderate sensation. Relaxation time at the end! This is a sensation-based approach as opposed to an alignment-based yoga approach.
Why do Yin Yoga?
Personally, as a person who was NOT into yoga or meditation, it has completely changed my mind, body, and soul.
It forced me to slow down, feel and deal!
It has seriously had such a huge impact on my life, that I decided that I just had to become trained so more people could experience it!

Benefits of Yin Yoga:
- Calms and balances the mind and body
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Increases circulation
- Improves flexibility
- Releases fascia and improves joint mobility
- Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana
- Muscles are to be “relaxed” vs “engaged”
- 90% of poses are seated
- Several supports are used for this style of yoga
- Enhances meditation
- It is for EVERY body, size, shape, age, activity level, no experience in any type of yoga or sport is required.
The physical science; when moderate stress is applied to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fasciae, and ligaments—increases circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
