In this style of fascial release yoga, expect long-held, seated stretches in an active release using a variety of props (pillows, blankets, blocks).
Yin yoga is the opposite of a fast-paced yoga flow. Based on principles of traditional Chinese medicine, Yin is all about slow-paced movement, releasing the muscles to get below the connective tissues, ligaments, and joints. This style of yoga incorporates a rich meditative experience, deep stretches, and connection to physical wellness into one unified experience.
